Seeking Safe and Loving Homes for Pet Goats

If you can provide a home for a pet goat, please consider those described below. To qualify for adopting you should have adequate space, fencing and shelter. Please take a look at What Goats Need for more information. In most cases, after talking on the phone, we will we will come to your property to inspect it, and invite you to our place to meet your goats of interest.

Please be prepared to make a donation to Goat Rescue and, if we deliver the goats, to pay our transportation fees. For more information about donations, please see Donations.

For obvious reasons, placing goats is usually a local activity, generally limited to a radius of a few hours drive from our farm on Whidbey Island. If you do not live in the area, but are still would like to consider receiving goats from us, we might be able to arrange an inspection from a contact in your area. We might also be able to meet you half way, and thus extend the radius. Finally, Ron Keener provides nationwide goat transportation services from his home base in Lubok Texas.

We are very sensitive to the relationships that the goats form within the herd, and seek to not disturb these bonds too much when placing these goats. These groupings are described in the list of available goats under "buddies". They don't necessarily need to be placed with all of their buddies, but by looking at "buddies" you can get an idea of who their friends are.

All of the goats are in excellent health current with their hooves and worming, and truly "pet quality". In most cases the ages are approximate.
