We are in North Central Ohio and currently have 8 goats of all shapes and sizes, have raised them now for over 20 years. We have 20+ acres and lots of other animals as well, but goats are my favorite. I have taken in many unwanted and neglected goats and am happy to do so. If anyone in our area needs to place their goat, please have them contact me. Thanks

I came across your goat rescue website while doing some research on goats. My husband & I live on a few acres in southeastern Minnesota with 3 horses, 3 chickens, 5 cats, 1 dog, and two small children. We are looking into Pygmy goats to add to our family for pets in the spring. I've been checking a lot of websites, newspaper ads, going to small animal sales, etc. The idea of goat rescue really intrigues me, so I just wanted to check in with you to see if you ever do have inquiries from around MN/WI/IA, etc. Although I have not owned goats before, I've been doing a lot of research and reading on them, and we both grew up around animals and consider each pet a true member of our family.

We live in Deroche BC (Fraser Valley) so if you know of any goats in need of a loving home in our area, we'd love to hear about it. Our preference is Nannies although we'd consider a neutered male. We're really hoping for dehorned as we plan to put them in with our horses at night. Very much hoping we can help.

my friend Carol VanEgdom can help as well

Joe writes: Hello goat rescue people,
I have had 2 Nigerian Dwarf goats for 14 years and one of them just died. The other is just as active and healthy as ever. I would love to get him a companion. They have all the wonderful things goats need to be happy and I just love them so much. Please let me know if you can help me. I live in the San Francisco Bay Area just north of the Golden gate Bridge in West Marin County. Oh, he’s a wether and had an operation for kidney stones a few months ago.

I have a 3 month old pygmy/boer wether that some neighbors found in the woods as a newborn. They bottle fed him and he needs to be someone's pet. He's a very cute guy.

Peggy is a retired la Mancha milk goat. A coyote attack has left her with just three good legs. She was taken in at the end of her milking by a new mom who needed a little extra milk for her baby. She is dry now, and just needs a retirement home where she could stay for the rest of her days. We would love to provide sanctuary here at Goat Rescue on Xanadu Farm, but we are not able to do that. We are currently caring for 25 goats here. It costs about $1.00 per day to keep a goat, and we expect Peggy will live another four years or so. That's nearly $1,500. Please contact us at Goat Rescue if you can provide a home or would like to sponser her (or help sponser her) to stay with us. As sponser, or co-sponser, you would enjoy the satisfaction of saving this sweet, giving animal.

Joan has a goat named Pepper (she believes it is a pygmy) that she can no longer care for. Pepper is about one year old. Joan rescued her from being Easter dinner and raised her on a bottle.

Kathleen writes: I have been providing a home for a goat rescued some time ago from a mentally ill woman who became homeless. The goat is a white, female, about 4 years old. Belle tests positive for CE but has no symptoms. Snowbelle is beautiful and sweet, expects to go for walks when the dogs go, and loves to "dance" with people. She has been a nanny for young horses needing stall rest, and same for orphan lambs. I am relocating and she needs a new home. She is very healthy and has no signs of disease. If you can help me find her a home I would be very greatful.

Hello: I am writing on behalf of a friend who works at the Burlington County Animal Shelter in New Jersey. They took in 6 goats who need to find a place to go asap. The shelter is always full. Wonderful dogs do not make it out due to space issues. The goats will be taking up a lot of space that they desperately need. Can someone please recommend any great goat rescues in the NJ, PA, DE area so these goats will have a safe place to go?
Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated.
Kindly,
Jennifer
